XTouch Metal Mesh Touch Sensors and Diamond Guard Hard Coat Resin (Glass Replacement Technology)
2
Okay, first Reed said in one of these CCs that he "envisioned" the first product with InTouch(although it will be from Lufkin for DELL - so don't know if "InTouch" will apply.) as a "top" or, can't remember the exxact phrase... "premium" maybe...
BUT.. get this, knowing our strenght is in the larger form factors... check out DELL's 17 inch Inspiiron "touch enabled" really touting sleek new design and INTEL 4th gen processors (remember INTEL is all about power saving on newest chips to extend batt life.)
BUT THE VERY BEST PART...... READY....... you sure...
Estimated availibility date.... 5 NOV...
Could it be the reason REED sounded so confident???
GAWD!!! I hope so....
BOOM! Less
Red: I just went to Dell and if I was going to guess I would guess the 15" XPS. They are the only ones that use 8.1 windows and have touch. Also their expected ship date is Nov 18 2013. They are high end. The one you mentioned is non touch and windows 8, unless you are seeing something I dont see. Plus they shipping is one month out too. I thought that dell makes all of their laptops in advanced but I spoke to a saleperson and they told me that is you see an expected ship date that is couple days away that one is made and ready to ship but if you see a long ship date then they make it when you order it. That 15inch XPS is really really nice plus it is high end range of price too. So just thinking so I could be wrong. Less
Sentiment: Strong Buy
nov 18; right after the cc and right before the unxl/syna presentation on nov 20-21; description fits as well; analyst I believe said to expect initial order to be for high end product
I give 0 cred to hoho; he's trying to piggyback on red and your dd
anyway, we're in good shape
Sentiment: Strong Buy
Angela,
My source has confirmed that 15" XPS is the notebook that InTouch sensor will be used.
RK also said in recent CC that InTouch will be used in the high-end notebook. The 2 clues together confirm it.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
I am just guessing, but it's totally new design.. everyything... the day is coming when we will be able to rejoice at news like this.. just want to give shorty his beat "UP".... it's coming...
BTW that DELL 17 is awesome and the prices are great, just thinking wnat i spent on my first... More
the dates, description all line up; I remember some reference might have been from one of the analysts who said the initial shipment would be a small qty for a high end product which certainly fits what you posted

Sentiment: Strong Buy
