Ucore Uranium Inc Changes Name to Ucore Rare Metals Inc.

June 28, 2010 - Ucore Uranium Inc. (TSX-V: UCU), ("Ucore" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its corporate name has been changed to Ucore Rare Metals Inc, as approved by the Company's shareholders at the annual and special meeting held on June 22, 2010. Effective June 29, 2010 the common shares of the Company will commence trading on the TSX Venture Exchange under the name Ucore Rare Metals Inc. The Company's trading symbol on the TSX Venture Exchange will remain unchanged as "UCU".

Shareholders do not need to do anything with respect to their share certificates in the name of Ucore Uranium Inc. However, if they prefer, shareholders may exchange their Ucore Uranium Inc. share certificates for new certificates in the name of Ucore Rare Metals Inc. on a one-for-one basis, by contacting Computershare Investor Services Inc.

"The name Ucore Rare Metals Inc. reflects the Company's expanding exploration focus and, in particular, our work advancing the Bokan Mountain heavy rare earth element project in Alaska", said Jim McKenzie, President and Chief Executive Officer. "As we expect to reach a number of exploration milestones with respect to the Bokan property in the coming 12 months, this is a most appropriate time to reflect this focus in our corporate name."

Ucore Uranium Inc. is a junior exploration company focused on establishing REE and uranium resources through exploration and property acquisition. Ucore's primary focus is the Rare Earth One operated Bokan Mountain rare earth element and uranium project. The project is located on the southern part of the Prince of Wales Island in southeastern Alaska, with excellent deep water access and proximity to major sea and rail shipping routes across North America and to Asia.
