ishtar, I still stick with my estimate that Look's spectrum is worth between 30 and 40 cents per pop/MHz. I have always been using a post giveback spectrum total of 1 billion pops. So that works out to between $300-400 million for the spectrum or around $1.5-2 a share. To me that is fair value, I don't think you can expect much more in these type of times.
Even McGoey says that it's an appreciating asset, but that's all you see? -- I sincerely hope that you're terrible with estimates although I must say that $2.00 looks pretty damn good from where we're sittin' at the moment.
Type of times?? -- do you think we're going back to tin cans and strings? You know darn well that all the possible suitors or their backers got the bucks or even the share prices to swap. They should be investing for the future growth, not worrying about the recession (again, see tin cans and strings). The best time to position for the "good times" when they return is now.
