OK because I am not busy at work and thinking of nothing in particular. Lets talk about a trading halt.

I've found they usually happen before the markets open in the morning. Is there any rhyme or reason in regards to timing. Or for something like this could or would it happen at anytime during the day.

I guess what I am asking is, is there still a chance it may happen today or once the markets open and there is no halt do we wait for the next day.

Stupid question but I'm really bored.

Side note observation: I get press releases from GE probably 5-6 a day. Whenever the company management farts I get a press release.
