Argentina is keen to see local uranium production as they currently import 100% of its nuclear fuel, mainly from Canada and Kazakhstan.

The agreements with China and Russia to supply nuclear fuel for Argentina's reactors mean they'll need security of supply especially given the significant global supply shortfall expected in the coming years that'll be insufficient to meet the increasing number of new reactors worldwide under construction and planned.

As one of the most advanced uranium projects in Argentina, we could be an attractive target for potential strategic partners like the Chinese or Russian state entities to invest in Laguna Salada not only as a local source of uranium for Argentina's growing nuclear fleet, but any excess supply could be sold to other global utilities through the nuclear co-operation agreements between Argentina and these countries. We are one of the few potentially low-cost uranium projects in the world that can be moved into production within several years - a relatively short time frame for uranium development.

So China or Russia could deliver domestic feed to the reactors that they're building in Argentina, which would also generate local economic benefits and foster positive political capital for both the federal and provincial governments in Argentina.

Nancy
