I've read the same peak oil newsletters as Puplava and I find it interesting that he never mentions one fact: Only about 20% of any oil field is actually successfully extracted.

Just a thought here... Horizontal drilling is not the miracle cure it gets promoted as. But the future profits in oil will go to the people who figure out how to extract the remaining 80%. I'm keeping my eye out for innovations.
