There are no markets anymore; only manipulations.

Gold is not in abundant oversupply and the price it commands is less than the price to extract it from the ground.?.?.? The same is true (even more so) of silver. Manipulation for the purpose of getting (or forcing if they are on margin) people to sell cheap is one reasonable answer.

They do it because they can... and no one will stop them. Stopping them simply isn't allowed.

Could this be stopped? Of course! There are laws against what is being done....but what do laws mean anymore?

Only "little" or "expendable" people are required to obey the law.
