Hans: Neither do I but living in a hole in the road is not the plight of another, it is absurd humour, actually I think it was a Beatles song if I remember, you are good at digging that stuff up Hans. But times have changed, more adversarial, less convivial and interestingly enough less tolerant of absurdity I guess. An aunt of mine was strafed by a German fighter plane during the War and later on her husband hanged himself, leaving her with 3 kids to raise, it was her sense of humour that I inherited. I could tell you some stories. No joke.
By the way, ironically enough I just returned minutes ago from driving a Christian charity truck and picking-up furniture around the City from kind donors for people coming out of homeless shelters and moving into regular housing, so they can live in dignity. Somebody gave me $20 for lunch so I donated it to a young guy working with me who receives disability benefits from the government. Noone in my City will live in a hole in the road if I can help it, Hans. Ike
