On January 24, 2014, Santa Fe Gold announced a definitive merger agreement with Tyhee Gold Corp. As part of the merger, the Sandstorm gold stream will be restructured into a 3% net smelter returns royalty and Sandstorm will be paid $7.1 million over a period of time, which is the amount owed to Sandstorm under the streaming agreement.
