If selling Clan is a bad idea, then how about doing something with Clan that's akin to what was done with Big Sky and Williams Creek? (Come to think of it, why did Big Sky's further development supercede that of Clan/Goodwin's?) Could it be that a potential JV with the Yellowknife Gold Project requires Clan's inclusion to make a package deal most attractive?
