As the field tightens approaching the far turn, Tyhee Gold continues to trail dead last, but moving from 15 lengths to now 12 lengths off the pace. Having "tipped" Tyhee Gold to his buddies as not only his 'Pick of Day', but more emphatically his 'Pick of the Year', Cinderella Man accepts the verbal abuse from those pals populating the Horseshoe Bar with him on the track's second level.

At this point, others holding Tyhee "win tickets" having lost patience and with great discouragement , discard their "tickets" and head for the exits...even while the race still unfolds.

On the far turn, Tyhee's jockey, manager of the race startegy (and holder of many "win tickets" from Tyhee Gold's owners), is still up in the irons, but now leans forward. Tyhee Gold's ears prick and nostrils flare. Man and beast have communicated.
