"Did JP really want to bring TDC into production as his first preference, but wanted drilling to halt and for DW to sell?"

Speaking from my own personal experience, in one of my last phone conversations with JP a few years ago, he told me (loosely quoting) "we are planning to change strategy and actually see projects like Tyhee go fully into a producing mine".

A lot of water went under the bridge since then and Baires probably has a better handle on why he changed his mind about Tyhee.

On August 25th last year I asked him:

"Would Puplava Securities consider buying back into Tyhee now that the Shareholders Rights Plan has been removed and the Feasibility Study is being developed?"

His complete answer: "No".

I love Underdogs. Come on Tyhee!!!
