HOME PAGE gives a map of the ice roads, showing Tyhee camp.

It has been very mild this winter, but Ice Road crews have flown into Tyhee camp to work on the secondary route, which goes to Tyhee camp. thicknesses are 13 to 17 inches at various places, not the 30+ inches required. But they are busy working on keeping the snow cleared and doing other things to enhance ice / freezing.

The above linke should have a new (weekly) update tonight, but I don't expect to see the ice road open until the very end of Jan or early feb. We want to see it open and for that additional equipment to be hauled. (click on "2012 updates)

Anybody up there in YK have an update on seeing loads for Tyhhe getting prepped at RTL?
