Hansix: It has been said that DW agreed with the move. If we assume this is accurate, I think the simplest explanation for DW's departure from his TDC position is that he had reached the limits of his skill level and interest, and that Briggs is the better production guy. No need for any evaluation with time limits, all of that, it would just be a corporate strategic move.

As a guy with a Ph.D. myself in public policy, driving through operations does not interest me much, though I am interested in implementation as a means to an end, and the outcome as a product of the implementation, but actually driving through the detail, problem solving and dealing with the administrative/human side of implementation takes a very different skill set. Sure doesn't turn me on.

I suspect that DW enjoys the big picture much more and without the means to explore the Clan Lake deposit, he was left without an interesting or challenging task. This is also why a tranfer to Williams Lake seems a good fit. Williams needs a good geologist with a head for the big picture, and DW needs a big picture to explore. Ike
