If many investment funds won't buy stocks in companies with a share price under a dollar, then there must be those that do.
U.S. Global Investors had a substantial holding of Romarco Minerals stock in early 2009 when its SP was about 12 cents. Within a couple of months following its hot FS, Romarco's share price tripled.
Sprott and Interinvest are two funds that buy below a dollar.
Btw, Romarco Minerals has done pretty well without changing its name to Romarco Gold. But, they have a nice website!
