Since 2007, consultation within the Akaitcho First Nations has been primarily with the

Yellowknives Dene First Nation (in Dettah and N’dilo), as the Yellowknives Dene First Nation

(YKDFN) identified that the Yellowknife Gold Project was in their exclusive territory.

Therefore, Tyhee NWT Corp has focussed its consultation efforts with the YKDFN and has, as

suggested by the MVEIRB included similar discussions with the North Slave Méis Alliance

(NSMA). As part of this renewal application, Tyhee has also included consultation with the

Akaitcho Screening Board and NWT Méis Nation by way of e-mails
