As I have posted several times previously, I don't think the POG is the catalyst. The catalyst will be the shift of gold stocks (HUI/GDX components that institutions might invest in) from underperforming the metal to outperforming it. As is all over the media, gold stocks have underperformed gold by 30 to 40 percent in the past year. When these seniors ignite and blow the doors off POG performance, the natural progression down the food chain to high quality juniors and near producers will begin in earnest. Greed will prevail instead of fear. The Three Bears will be chased from your house goldylocks without them eating your golden porridge.
