As long as "history" is being invoked for perspective on Tyhee and the gold bull market, then let's add to that the history of a mine, e.g., THE GIANT MINE.

It entered production in 1948 and ceased operations in 2004, and produced over 7,000,000 ozt (220,000 kg) of gold.
