I held Viking a while back, and look in from time to time. I don't hold any now, as in my opinion they are worth no more than about 9 cents per share. They have new management, which came with a modest infustion of energy and cash, and they undertook some form of strategic review of their activities.

They one card they have to play is that they are adjacent to Ormsby. They have very few drill results, and nothing I would get at all excited about.

Their land position may have some very long term potential, based on proximity to Tyhee, but from what I have heard there is nothing at all compelling in terms of geology. Tyhee has all the good properties.

On balance, I would not recommend Viking at these levels. But if they return to below 8 cents, then they could be a good opportunity.

I have no explanation for the gravity-derying activity of their shares. There could be something I am missing, but I doubt it.
