(PRESS PROFILE TAB FOR FACT SHEET & UPDATES)
There may be other good reasons to explain why TDC's trading in the 18-20 cent range for the last two weeks (the 20 cent "cap"), other than Woodstock's proposed possible naked short selling example: Here are three more:
1)Puplava has not yet fully unloaded his 21M TDC share-filled truck and is doing so now.
2) Or, as Sklelg has mentioned, "there are tens of millions of shares sold at 10 cents, and there are investors who probably want to see it stay below 20 cents so they do not have to exercise their warrants just yet."
3) My favorite reasonable explanation for the cap is how the company will not be significantly rewarded until something really fabulous happens. Something like...
The institutional big boys (which include Dr. Black and friends) are patiently waiting for Tyhee to pass its next, major milestone of the year: the DAR, probably in May.
And can you blame them? The DAR and how it's received will give doubtful investors a much firmer idea of what sort of time-frame they're facing for payback. (Romarco Minerals investors seemed not to have this angst about their 2013 first pour date. Whereas, some see the NWT mine permitting process taking a bit longer than it's supposed to in South Carolina where Romarco's Haile property is located.) So, I don't see much of a major move in the SP until then.
Not to be sold short (no pun intended), Webb's positive surprises, regardless, have been rolling in, e.g., Interinvest, Clan discoveries....We could see other news prior to the DAR this Spring that could further bump up the share price. Remember Dave's near-wink at the end of his last video when describing a possible new discovery?
As for now getting Dave's take on this price "cap" issue well, I'm not going to bother him until the PDAC, three weeks from now. By then, I think reasonable explanations for this "cap" will be better understood. I can wait until then.
