Yesterday was a great day for gold and gold stocks!

Gold was up more than $25, the HUI was up 3.34%, GDXJ up nearly 4% , and

Tyhee (TDC) was up 9.09%

In its September 22, 2010 issue, Canaccord covered 36 of what they considered to be Tyhee's peers. So I compared yesterday's percent share price gain with those that have gold or golden in their company names with those that do not.

What I found was that the average price gain of the 20 companies without gold or golden in their names had an average share price gain of 4.74%, compared to the average 3.11% share price rise of those other 16 companies that did have gold or golden in their company's name.

I realize these limited snap shot results won't prove much. But perhaps these data might be just a bit more grist for the mill of debate on this topic.
