What was I thinking...?

What was I thinking when I wrote, "
" Once the mania hits, gold and "development" equities can stay insanely overpriced for less time than we can possibly imagine."?
Remember in November 2007 when Tyhee was selling over 80 cents? Well, that didn't last too long.
Also GodBarrenCharlie recently posted his recollections about the price action of another Yellowknife stock,

"Discovery Mines who shared the same gold mining locale of Tyhee for many many many years. It too took a long long long time but eventually that one paid off handsomely running up 8 fold from my original purchase price of $ 1.10 a share."
What he didn't say is that there was a "blow-off" peak [my words] to that or a higher price, that didn't last very long, as I recall.
Same could be said for the $850 blow-off price of gold in January 1980. It didn't last too long, less than a week at that record high level. Otherwise, it was trading mostly in the $400-$600 range that month.
But, as Rod McEwen recently told Jim Puplava on FSN, the gold producers did very well for years FOLLOWING that January 1980 peak in gold prices.
Dave Webb, in an email to me, thinks that year 2013 is still a possibility for Tyhee's first pour.
Ok, 2013 and add another 22 days to that.
Cheers,
Baires
