I'm sorry to say that TYHJF is not recognized by Stockcharts.com. It only recognizes the TDC.V symbol.

So I checked it on Scottrade where I can chart TYHJF. From 1:30PM to about 2:10PM EST the price displayed as $ 0.13. It was caused by a 100 share trade. This explains why the .147 bid order was not filled; it was for more shares than the market maker wished to give away at that price.

Since it costs a minimum of about $7 for someone other than a brokerage to place a trade; I'm just guessing mind you but someone was either experimenting and didn't mind wasting the commission charge or someone, namely the market maker, seeing there was no bid offers above his spread at the time sent through 100 share "market" sell order which the market maker chose not to fill from his bid/ask spread but rather to allow it be filled from the highest individual bid at the time or to another market maker friend with whom he plys his "trade," so as to knock the price down (an in house trade).

Then if a larger order to sell at a price he liked came through based on that lower print he would have bought them for his own supply to sell later for a profit.

It's more of the I'll show you who controls the price of these shares game that it seems the market makers enjoy playing when there is insufficient volume to drive the price where the market itself will take it.

P.
