The Discovery Mine, now owned by Tyhee, mined average grades of one ounce ( 28.35 grams) per tonne. These were extraordinary high, Aurelian-like grades, i.e., higher than tens of grams per tonne over tens of meters.
The Discovery Mine produced over One Million Ounces of Gold.
But, look at what came out of the nearby Tom Mine:
" From February 1986 to July 1987, 19,000 tonnes of ore were extracted from the Tom Mine producing approximately 4,083 ounces of gold."
That'd be 4.65 oz/tonne or, 132 grams per tonne!
Ok, we don't know how much more there are at these amazingly high grades. But, it looks as though Tyhee won't be the company to find out.
Did Tyhee miss out on picking up this property?
