Letitfly,

Is it possible that TOO MUCH is being made of the Joe Pubilic's contribution to the higher price of gold during the "mania stage"?

My next Q-Call to JP addresses this question, as the January 1980 spike to over $850/gold oz. was a very brief affair, with gold trading mostly in the $500's surrounding that "blow off peak" all-time record high gold price, when adjusted for inflation.
