That's $170,000 for 3,400,000 shares. They plan to do another one by the end of the month. So for about $340,000 they will have added 20% to their share count, taking it from the mid 30millions to the low 40 millions of shares. And all they have is a few drill holes in the ground, and a large stake of property near Tyhee's deposits.
This makes me think that the chances of Tyhee scooping up anything from Viking have evaporated for the near term, as this inject of cash will help Viking geep going for a year, hoping for some drill results. But how many drill holes will they do with $340K?
That they are alive and drilling, however, makes them a viable exploration play, even if very periperhal.
This news release may not have mentioned Tyhee, but you can be sure that their drilling is aimed at making investors see a potential connection, in an extension of the Ormsby deposit.
Also in the news, Romarco has some drill results, 33.5 Meters of 4.3 g/t. OK, so with 60 drill holes, that's their best result lately? I think Clan Lake has the potential for some much better results. So why bring them up? ANybody read their 1 Dec news release?

TORONTO, Dec. 1 /CNW Telbec/ - ROMARCO MINERALS INC. (TSXV: R) (the "Company") is pleased to announce it has initiated the feasibility study at the Haile Gold Mine, South Carolina. The feasibility will comprise three primary areas - mining, processing, tailings and geotechnical and the engineering firms that were awarded contracts for those areas are...(blah blah blah).
So on Dec 1 they initiated what Tyhee has been working through for 6 or 7 months (OK, they say feasability, and tyhee is doing a prefeas). but their drilling to test out potential sites for the tailings sites etc, indicate they have a long way to go on their version of a DAR and EA. Yet not long after this 1 Dec news their share price appears to have back up to the $1.70 level. They have come a long way since 20 cents, a year ago. And they do, in my mind, foreshadow Tyhee's 2010 in many ways.
Today was a great day to be a Tyhee shareholder.
