(PRESS PROFILE TAB FOR FACT SHEET & UPDATES)
Just to bring up an old topic. Surprisingly, VGC has not evaporated. They have made comments that they'll have a $1 million dollar drilling program in 2010. More of their comments are tied to Tyhee's planned mine at Ormsby, as they are higlighting some of their drill results as confirming a SW extension from Ormsby into the VGC properties.
Based on what DW has said to me, and I've summarized here in past emails, it appears that at Tyhee take-over of VGC (if it was distressed) would not happend due to the fact that VGC has commitments and things tied to their properties, so it's not as simple as I thought. However, DW made very positive comments about the man at the helm of VGC, which reflects well on DW, but also indicates very close cooperation (VGC stages out of the Tyhee camp and they cooperate on the drill rigs etc).
So I believe now that VGC intends to drill near the border between TDC and VGC extension of Ormsby (note on the VGC website that their claims wrap oround the SW end of Tyhee's, and basically wrap around Winter Lake.
Once Tyhee is in production, they could easily get into an agreement with VGC to process some of their ore. VGC would have to blast and haul their own open pit or would have an underground portal of their own..>>OR, they could do some kind of Joint Venture. Also note that Tyhee would have a road through VGC's claimes to haul ore from the Clan Lake and Goodwin lake deposits.
So I expect there will be activity in 2010 on the possible form of cooperation between VGC and Tyhee. Since VGC is way behind on exploration, there may be some upside potential in their share price, on the coat tails of Tyhee's progress in developing a mine as much as due to their own accelerated driling program. Maybe that' why there's been a slight uptic in VGC trading lately.
An announcement of some type of JV with Vikign, if and when it comes, may seem puny. But it goes to the overall theme of Tyhee's dominance in the Yellowknife Gold camp. It could be seen as a potential revenue stream for Tyhee.
for what it's worth...
