I guess it's starting to hurt. The bullion banks, aka the commercials, aka the gold cartel, are in the market today trying hard to push down the price of gold. It is so obvious with for anyone who has eyes to see. They keep trying to sell down the market with large sell trades that no one actually trying to make money would ever make.

But these are quickly absorbed by the mass of buying. The question is who will give up first, the buyers (which would feed into the commercials plan) or the sellers (the commercials) who have to finally give it up as a lost cause and then make good on all those shorts.

By the time they give up the Comex will probably be swamped with fails to deliver the real metal. So they will just go into the back room with their buddies and rotate the printing press a few times and settle for cash. All the people who didn't get physical gold will be cheated, as usual.

Then the real run-up in gold will get started.
