How Fundamentally Naive Is My Gold Forecast? Gold to stay put for a while.
Gold prices are fundamentally driven by the dollar (inflation) and risk aversion (safe haven).
Factor in the likelihood for a general market downturn within the next several months.
So, if I'm fundamentally correct, then gold should not break out until after the predicted general market sell-off since the dollar should hold firm or rise in value as a safe haven, sought after currency while officially measured inflation will remains flat.
On the bright and ironic side, some would say that what I'm seeing is the most likely economic time for Tyhee to release (good) news.
Cheers
