The company might have done even better were it not for the threat of HR699, the Hard Rock Mining and Reclamation Act of 2009. This bill if it gets traction will allow the government to tax and otherwise be a serious nuisance to any mining operation in the U.S.A.

Personally, with this threat still out there, I wouldn't own shares in a mining property located in the U.S.A.
