Very good one. Actually, when I had a drilling rig on a lot in YK, drilling about 100 holes 3m deep to blast out an excavation for a basement in the house I built in YK in 2006, I kept a few bags of the drill dust/chips. I thought I could pan that, and found a bit of gold flakes. But mostly just iron pyhrite and pyrotite...

I also kept quite a few nice chunks of quartz with gold fleks. The gold in YK is greener than you might expect.

the streams in YK don't have gold, as they were all scoured clean in the last ice age, I think.

Sadly, the only way to get our gold is to blast, haul, crush then process in a mill with huge quantities of water. So we'll need that water permit from MVLWB.
