I believe the answer to what motivates the motivated seller is: cutting losses in the juniors and riding the majors up. Some juniors have moved higher % wise than TDC so they will have momentum on their side. TDC may be viewed as in a tight trading range. Some of my fellow PM investor friends have unloaded their TDC and other juniors for that reason. They want the biggest bang for their buck and to make back their losses. I am sitting tight and sellng a portion of my majors into this rally as I expect a pull-back soon.
The SP of TDC can not be forced higher against the mkt wishes as it will just revert to mkt value. I see .13cdn as a floor but .14 seems to be a fair value at this time.
Capital flows to the asset with the best returns then it reverts to its fair value when the next flavour of the month comes along. Same as housing will revert to the rental value plain and simple.
