As much as many are skeptical of how Obama will be different, one clear sign to me was that as soon as Dick Chaney is out of the VP role, the google earth site is no longer required to keep the image of the VP residency at a poor resolution. There was an article about this on CNN. Now, with the Obama administration, Google Earth can have the same great resolution of the VP grounds as any other location. The difference is stark, that the new administration is actually making things less opaque.

IF this spirit is true, they will want the same for the actions of the treasury and the Fed. Market manipulation, if it has been a serious factor as many believe, is not likely to be a tool that Obama would want his administration associated with.

This could be very good forl gold, as those sudden massive sellofs in the paper market, which we have all seen happen at various times, may dissappear entirely.

When gold is allowed to be gold, we'll see some very good days. All we need to see is the old high taken out (later in Feb?) and many will come aboard.
