Things are just plain ugly right now. A very bleak week, and everyone is just looking at the economy instead of focusing on the one set of stocks that as a whole have made money since November (precious metals!)

I wish I could say I expect Tyhee to skyrocket, but all I really do expect is for them to survive until the dust of Microsoft, Sony, and LG blowing up has settled, and the U.S. has finished nationalizing all of their bank debts.

For the average investor who never believed in gold, and thought that large cap names were the ultimate in security, this has been another very painful week.

Even my large cap gold stocks are down on a day when the price of gold is up, a week after both Kinross and Yamana announced that their margins/profitability have been improving, not getting worse.

For those of us who believe, there will still be another month to accumulate our favorite stocks.

At least we're up a bit for the day. That's a start.
