Personally, I have been toying with the idea of a half and half strategy; leave half in the highest quality shares and pull half out to take advantage of inevitable bargains.

Also, as Baires has mentioned, there is a chance that we might see clear decoupling of gold shares by then, especially if gold makes a big move up in the first weeks of 2009.

One thing is for sure, I am not going for the twice flogged thing either; I will re-evaluate the situation constantly, seek as much info. as possible, and be open to all possibilities, no matter how much they go against my once healthy "get rich fairly quick scheme".

The latter scheme has in fact become the "try to save your skin if you can scheme."
