For our American friends who trade in Canada. As you know we celebrate a few different holidays than down in the US. Our Thanksgivings Day is in October since we have an earlier harvest. There are a few other differences as well so I thought I'd list off a couple here for you.
Christmas is celebrated on December 24th, not the 25th due to the closer proximity of the North Pole allowing Santa to get to Canada a day early.
Easter on the other hand is a month later, since we still have snow here in April and the Easter Bunny can't dig his way out of his hole.
We do not celebrate Presidents day, since we've never really liked one until Obama came along. It is possible given his extreme popularity in our country that we may have a special day just for him though.
We do have "Family Day" around the same time as President's day though which I assume is to honor the long standing tradition of the Mafia in this country. IE; "The Family".
We don't have Memorial Day to honor our dead soldiers but we do celebrate a long dead Queen's birthday near that time.
