Dave Webb Answers This Forum's Questions...

posted on Nov 24, 2008 02:28AM

Dave Webb answered our Tyhee Forum’s questions yesterday, well in advance of the San Francisco Hard Assets Conference this weekend. (I have paraphrased Dr. Webb’s answers, since he asked not to be quoted directly).

Cheers,

Baires

1. Please get Webb talking about what it will take Tyhee to skip the Pre-feasibility (PF) study and go right on to a Feasibility (F) Study.

Tyhee will keep adding to and revising its resources. This work includes initial engineering studies to define specific stopes [ore bodies], determining the best extraction models, and developing preliminary mine planning. Initial sequencing of extraction (which stopes are developed and in what order). Additional site designs and power engineering work will be completed. Once this is nearly completed (fundamentally it is a partial PF or F studies) Tyhee can decide on whether it will complete PF or F.

2. Also, how aggressive a drilling program can he have when and if they're spending so much money on a Feasibility Study?

Junior mining companies, Tyhee included, cannot do anything aggressively in this financial environment. Everyone in this industry is focusing on avoiding having to finance. Any aggressive program advances the required financing date forward. That said, the quickest way to consume cash in today's environment would be in descending order, 1. Mine construction, 2. Bulk sampling, 3. Diamond drilling, 4. Feasibility/prefeasibility studies, 5. Etc, preliminary assessments, permitting, resource modeling.

3. Ask if he thinks the property's prime targets have been exhausted.

Tyhee sees great potential in its yet to be measured resources to depth at the Nicholas Lake Main, Bruce Lake, and Ormsby Zones. These areas represent great wide open potential and have been tested with positive results from deep drill holes (currently outside of existing resources). In addition very positive results have been seen coming out of Goodwin Lake and Clan Lake. BigSky results have been positive as well, and although it is closer to good supporting infrastructure, and although its targets more closely resemble the multimillion ounce Giant and Con Mines, it appears to be inferior to the results from Goodwin and Clan Lakes.

4. At the recent Cambridge House Conference he was told Diabullic that he owned about a million TDC.V shares. Has he or his family purchase more shares since then? How much more?

Dave has continued to purchase shares when he can and when he’s not blacked out due to news flows. All insider transactions can be seen on
www.sedi.ca. Dave is not always aware of when a family member buys or sells (they are under no legal obligation to tell him).

5. More of a general question but – are mining costs dropping in this environment and is it easier to get staff / equipment now than a year ago? Will it affect the IRR in calculating any proposals going forward?

Since Tyhee’s PA was published prices have changed. Tyhee used certain assumptions and a Canadian dollar at par to the US dollar. It doesn't matter which currency we use, as long as we're consistent, but below are some adjustments in the major cost/revenue items that can be considered:

Revenue (CAN$)
Price of gold: $750 in PA, currently $1,000

Expenses (CAN$)
Power (diesel): $140 per barrel, currently $60

Equipment -10 to 30%
Steel -?
Labor no change, but availability has increased.

6. Please ask Dr. Webb why he feels that Tyhee insider share owners, representing about 5% of the total ownership, is not a negative for the company and does not show low insider confidence?

Insiders buy and sell depending on their individual circumstances, their outlook on life, the company, the economy. I think the absolute holding reflect insiders wealth. The change in their holding reflects the opinions and attitudes.

I see that overall, insider holdings in Tyhee have been increasing:
Lorne Anderson
since December 2005, 9 purchases, no sales, net +516,000 shares
C. Kent
since May 2005, 3 purchases no sales, net +28,000 shares
D. Nickerson
since January, 2004, 21 purchases, 47 purchases, net 104,000
V. Pratico
since January 2005, 3 purchases, 6 sales, net 7,500
R. Sylvestre
since July 2003, 6 purchases, 8 sales, net 612,000
D. Taschuk
since November 2003, 3 purchases, 53 sales, net 0
D. Webb
since June 2003, 50 purchases, 4 sales, net 1,144,000
H. Wilson
since February, 2005, 3 purchases, no sales, net 135,500

7. Will Clan Lake will prove greater results that the historical 640,000 ounces?

Tyhee can only report NI 43-101 resource figures. Tyhee hopes for a substantial deposit at Clan Lake, but it will take a lot of drilling to define that large a resource there.

8. If you (Dr. Webb) had four drills available 24/7 now, where would they be drilling for the next 8 months?

Tyhee’s number one priority target right now is Clan Lake. The company feels that substantial ounces can be defined there faster and cheaper than anywhere else. Goodwin Lake warrants further work, and its proximity to Ormsby raises its status as ounces here are more likely to be made economic than elsewhere. Deeper drilling at Ormsby, Bruce and Nicholas may add significantly more ounces that will directly impact the economics of the Yellowknife Gold Project; however these holes are more expensive to drill than those at Clan, Goodwin or BigSky.
