I am seeing this line of thought on JP a bit late, but while we are all extremely frustrated with the direction of the market, we all did buy into JP's theory of fundamentals regarding both energy and precious metals. Why else did we buy these companies but in the belief of the fundamentals?

Earlier in the late Spring, JP did admit that his Oreo theory had a much smaller creamy filling due to the fact that he never anticipated such a rapid oil price.

In addition, with the interview with Don Coxe last week, its clear that neither JP, nor any of us, anticipated the massive manipulation of the dollar and commodities that was designed and implemented by Paulson in mid July. Look what happened to Don Coxe's portfolio--decimated by this turn of events.

Now, in all fairness, JP over a month or so ago, did indeed state that the next problem in the markets would be credit default swaps. Again, the rapidity of this onslaught caught everyone outside of the TreasuryDept by surprise.

I am frustrated as anyone here, but I also feel that these markets were manipulated beyond anyone's grasp, therefore making it rather difficult to expose and warn others until the aftermath when it is too late.
