Hopefully this will humble JP. Just says he probably is no more qualified than many on this board. He knew that his theory of inflation leading to hyperinflation leading to a depression was in conflict with Prechter, Noland, Pretti and others. He had them on his show many times and disagreed. They said we would see deflation follwed by a hyperinflation.
Now that most of us have looked at the 1930's and 1970's ourselves, it is VERY OBVIOUS that Prechter was predicting based on history. Just look at 1974-1976. For Puplava's idea to have been correct, this would have been a departure from the past. In the end, he and we will be right. It still doesn't feel right.
I would have a lot more respect for JP if he would finally come out and say his theory in the short term was misplaced. At this point , he doesn't show any signs of that happening. Hard head.
