I'll be honest I havn't kept up with the shortage story, but I'm guessing it is temporary and has more to do with refiners not gearing up to retail investment, is investment/Comex gold in short supply?

For people to buy juniors it will take the investment community to look at the majors again in a new light ie as a source of liquidity, a profitable gold mine will be a viewed as a money making machine, combine that with lower input costs and all gold investment will get rerated and will attract new money
