I had noticed the same pattern last week in the $Gold:$USD ratio.
What I believe this means is that gold is trying to make significant moves to the upside, but is being held back by dollar strength. Others on this board have been discussing today that gold has been trying to decouple from the USD.
When the dollar begins its decent, we are going to see some significant moves and strength in GOLD. That is why I added some positions today.
