SSIR is a good example of how a sound and successful company reacts in times of crises.
January 1st 1998 SSRI was 5 USD/SHARE (Pre crises)
January 1st 1999 SSRI was 0,98 USD/SHARE (Down 80%)
At that point of time SSRI was a Exploration/Junior.
Look how SSRI went through the dot.com crises:
January 1st 2000 1.25 (+25%)
January 1st 2001 1.28 (+1%)
January 1st 2002 2,70 (+110%)
May 2002 5 USD - Back in town !!
January 2007 33 USD (up 3200 % from low 1998)
My questions are:
JP actually talk about mining stock in crises:
Go for quality, buy when everybody sells, they will dip together with all the ships priliminary in a crises, but in the middle phase and recovery they will outperform the market.
I think we (TYHEE) had our 80% decline in the Exploration/Juniors. I am buying now and betting on the block buster 3-10 years from now.
I think and bet this crises time frame will be different than with the dot. com. This time, due to the globalization and coordinated international action, the time for a full crises circle will decrease and with the global money printing and global bailing out inflation will secure the intrincic value of gold and the miners.
Try to calculate how much gold you get in the ground for Tyhee: 15 Cent.
Soon the market will flow with plenty of money and the money market will start to function again:
US is interested, Europe is interested, OPEC is interested, China is interested, Russia is interested, South America is interested, India is interested, Africa is interested.
So it will happen ...
Sit tight or buy more now ...
