People that post to this board including me too frequently lose touch with really how ignorant the masses are.

One small example. I am an engineer and work with many other engineers who are very good at what they do. Very smart people. I came into work Monday and struck up some conversation on the FRE/FNM takeover or whatever you wish to call it. This is one of the most significant economic events in US History. One engineer replied that he had heard something about that and then he changed the subject to trying to decide where everyone was going to eat lunch and how terrible the Detroit Lions played!

Over 90% of the USA lives pay check to pay check. They save nothing. They are very in debt if they have credit and if they are lower middle class or below they just scrape by. Most only watch TV for Nascar, Football or Reality Shows. Who's Cramer? Huh? CNBC has lots of people on it that use big words.

We are in the less than 1% who are in tune with the big picture. Until gas hits hit $5 thru $8 a gallon and housing maybe falls another 30% and a Big Mac is $6, the sheeple will be calm.
