Tyhee reports excellent gold values from recent drilling on Nicholas Lake and Clan Lake properties

Thu Sep 4, 8:31 AMVANCOUVER, Sept. 4 /CNW/ - Tyhee Development Corp. (TSX-V: TDC.V) today released results for drillholes that were recently completed on the Nicholas Lake and Clan Lake Zones Yellowknife area, Northwest Territories, Canada.
Highlighted intersections from the recent program:
Nicholas Lake Zone:
- Drillhole N114: - 10.5 metres (m) of 7.58 grams per ton
(gpt) gold including 4.5 m of 16.96 gpt
gold; and
- 4.6 m of 3.06 gpt gold.
Clan Lake Main Zone:
- Drillhole CL119: - 6.3 m of 4.35 gpt gold including 4.0 m of
6.54 gpt gold;
- 3.0 m of 12.75 gpt gold;
- Drillhole CL120: - 20.7 m of 2.65 gpt gold including 10.0 m
of 4.36 gpt gold; and
- 14.8 m of 2.22 gpt gold including 8.2 m of
3.10 gpt gold
The Main Zone has been traced on surface and in drillholes for over 130 m and varies between 20 and 30 m in width.
"The latest results from Nicholas Lake that were drilled to the east of the known resource show that mineralization, which on the surface appears to be terminated to the east, is in fact still open at depth," said Dr. D.R. Webb, President & CEO of Tyhee. "At Clan Lake we are intersecting significant gold mineralization beyond the limits of the Main Zone, suggesting additional zones occur in the area, or that the Main Zone is potentially larger than expected."
Most of the gold-bearing intercepts have returned low silver values of less than 2 gpt. However, drillhole CL119 returned 16.9 gpt silver over 6.3 m from 71.5 m down hole including 22.9 gpt silver over 4.0 m. CL121 returned 23.4 gpt silver over 6.6 m from 111.3 m down hole.

Diamond drilling is continuing with one drill active on the Clan Lake Main Zone. Drilling on the Goodwin Lake Main Zone was completed in August and the drill moved to Nicholas Lake to test geophysical targets for the potential extension of the Main Zone. This drilling was completed recently, and the drill has been moved back to camp on the Yellowknife Gold Project. Assays are pending on Clan Lake, Goodwin Lake and Nicholas Lake.
REVIEWED BY QUALIFIED PERSON, QUALITY CONTROL, AND REPORTS
Tyhee completed fire assays on drill core samples using 30 gram aliquots with ICP-ES finish for gold analyses, prepared at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in Yellowknife, and finished at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd in Vancouver. A semi-quantitative multi-element analysis is run on 0.5 gm aliquot samples leached in a hot aqua regia solution and measured using ICP-ES techniques. Tyhee conducts a rigorous QA/QC program of inserting blanks and duplicates in the field and standards in the laboratory. The laboratory also conducted their own independent QA/QC program including inserting their own standards and rerunning samples from pulped material and reject material. These results were provided to Tyhee. All standards, duplicates, blanks and check assays returned acceptable results. Mr. V.V. Pratico P.Geol., the designated QP within the meaning of NI 43-101, has reviewed this release and approves of its content.
