Dr. Webb on trucking economics. Clan Lake IN RANGE

Here is Dr. Webb's reply to my questions regarding the economics of hauling from ClanLake to an Ormsby mine site:

"Trucking.

I would reference you to aomw of Mirimar's or Cumberland's studies on trucking from satellite deposits. The economic limits depend on the grade of the ore trucked, the cost of fuel, the nature of the road etc., but a good figure to start with is $0.10 to $0.20 per tonne per km. So a 10 km haul might cost $1 to $2 per tonne to haul, or require a gold grade of 0.05 to 0.1 gpt extra to pay for the haul.

When I was working for Cominco at the Con Mine in the 1980's, their engineers gave exploration a mandate to look for satellite deposits within a 100 km radius of the Con Mill.

Clan Lake is definitely within trucking distance to Ormsby."
