I have been an investor in ARU since before the discovery.
I was not hurt too badly by the news as I took some profits when they first announced the possible 70% windfall tax and individual company negotiations.
I posted on the ARU board at the time that I thought the Ecuadorian government was being run by amateurs. That was not very well received and I lost a lot of rep points for it.
At this point I am not sure what to make of the situation the government of Ecuador does not in my eyes have any credibility at all but the deposit they have is incredible.
I do think though that it is now more like gambling than investing.
I am not necessarily against gambling but I would never do it with money I was not prepared to loose.
