Baires, thanks for posting that. It helps give a big picture of what they are up to. I read it, and playing the old board game "Battleship" came to mind. You might have a blind hit, but sometimes have to lob a lot more shells to figure out how big the ship is, and what direction it is in.
When I didn't feel lucky in that game, I would systematically blanket the board with evenly spaced shots. Sometimes I got lucky right away. But if not, the systematic persistence paid off.
