Case in Point:
CDM/CDE Not that any of you need to obsess about it, but I happen to own shares. Solid Silver company with one of the world's largest silver mines in Bolivia ramping up production as we speak (on top of other procucing mines, and a gold mine in Alaska set to start production this year).
It is one of the few pure play large cap precious metal producers trading in the U.S. Yes, it did recently announce a financing. BUT WHY, with all of this upside, with $18.00 silver, was it listed on Friday as having the second largest short position of any U.S. stock, after Lehman Brothers? We are talking about a producing large cap silver mining company that is, and has been for the longest time, operating in the black.
A solid, producing silver miner being considered worse than all of the much higher cap financial sector stocks in the U.S.? Than all of the much higher cap technology and consumer sector stocks in an economic downturn?
I almost hate to give in to conspiracy theories, but this to lends credence to them.
