I think the one thing I wish out of all of this is that the Canadian government would just let the dollar float, and quit worrying about Ontario. Short term it would hurt like H### but long term, I think the Europeans are right.

If they keep trying to peg our dollar to the U.S., we're in for some really nasty times. I was hoping this is what Harper meant in a recent speach, but it's not what the government has been doing. So far it's lock-step with the U.S.

I have a lot of American friends, and I've enjoyed the last few days in San Francisco. But American politics are too short term, selfish, and messed up. I don't see that changing. I can't see ever wanting to be in a union with 'em.

Sorry guys, didn't want to offend. How come such a great country, such truly horrendous political and economic decisions?
