I didn't read that much into his comment.

As far as that goes, Newmont, Goldcorp and Barrick have all made recent acquisitions they may want to digest for a month or two. I like Kinross or Agnico Eagle because they both have a bias towards Canadian development. Kinross because they have exhibited interest in smaller but profitable deposits, and because they have an incredible growth profile right now, but will be looking for greenfields 3-4 years out. Agnico Eagle because they've been moving north lately (recent development/exploration in the Yukon).

I also see some possible consolidation and mergers of some of the mid tier players (Gammon, etc.) and wouldn't be surprised if TDC got drawn into a Yamana-like three way merger.

Fun to speculate, but really the future is so fluid and unpredictable...
